Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Alarm Response Security Officer in New York, NY. You will provide front desk security, greet visitors, verify access, monitor alarms, and respond to incidents at a premier commercial real estate location.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming front-desk presence while helping to deter unauthorized access to the property.
