As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Alarm Triage in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk in a professional, welcoming manner; greet visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor building entry activity, access control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication channels; report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, tenant requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Maintain a professional front‑desk presence, answer incoming calls, provide directions and building information, and support a positive experience at the commercial property.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
