Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security company, is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Reception and Access Verification in Boca Raton, FL. As a front desk presence, you’ll manage access, greet residents and guests, and respond to incidents with professional composure.

The role offers a flexible schedule, competitive pay at $17 per hour, and opportunities to learn on our Claim a Shift platform. A minimum of one year in security and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front desk policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Greet visitors, manage access in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials as required, and direct guests to appropriate residential areas or contacts.
• Monitor front desk activity, receive and document deliveries, calls, and visitor information, and communicate relevant concerns to designated site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and support a professional, welcoming lobby environment.
