Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for the Monroe, NY location. You will greet visitors at the front desk, manage access control, issue passes, and monitor entry activity while using technology to support security operations.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work a rotating schedule with evening hours. Training and growth opportunities are available, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check per laws; drug screen as required.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and utility customers following site procedures and access-control requirements at the front desk.
• Monitor visitor activity, verify credentials, issue passes, and maintain logs.
• Answer and direct calls, provide site information, and communicate professionally with staff and guests.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, follow emergency procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor front-desk security systems and report unusual activity or policy violations.
