Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Reception Access Console in Dulles, VA to greet guests, manage badges, and support access control for tenants and visitors at a commercial real estate site.

As a Part Time Front Desk Security Professional, you will monitor entry points, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service using computer or tablet systems, contributing to a safe, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Maintain professional communication with building management, tenants, vendors, and emergency responders while providing directions and assistance as needed.
