Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Front Desk Security Officer in Herndon, VA to welcome visitors, manage access credentials, and monitor security systems. The role emphasizes excellent customer service and professional presence at the front desk.

The position requires at least 1 year of security experience, with preferred alarm panel and badge control skills, and a willingness to work a daytime schedule with a $22.50/hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge handling experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming front-desk presence for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Conduct visitor registration, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain logs.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems; report concerns.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, customer-focused manner following procedures.
• Support security procedures at the front desk by answering phones and directing guests.
