Job summary

Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, NY is seeking a part-time Receptionist to greet visitors, answer calls, and support daily administrative tasks. This role is the first point of contact and requires friendly, organized individuals who value resident-centered service.

The position offers evenings and weekend shifts with a focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork within a compassionate care environment. Prior healthcare exposure is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 6 months of administrative or customer service experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and ensure sign-in/sign-out procedures
• Monitor entrances and follow security procedures for resident safety
• Answer and direct incoming calls to departments staff or resident rooms
• Perform administrative tasks including typing, copying, filing, and mail distribution
• Maintain copier and office supply areas and distribute faxes
• Sort and distribute resident and facility mail
• Maintain resident directories and mailing information
• Prepare door tags, reports, and other clerical documents
• Assist with resident transportation and help residents enter/exit the facility
• Use intercom system for announcements and staff paging
• Attend trainings and comply with facility policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned
