Job summary

Briarcliff Ambulatory Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), is hiring a part-time Front Desk Receptionist. You will check in surgery patients, prepare charts for next day procedures, and interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians by phone and in person.

You will collect estimated patient liability as determined by the insurance verification clerk. We offer a supportive environment with competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more of related experience and/or training.
• Or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Communication skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills ability to effectively present information to patients, physicians, and other employees of surgery center.
• Basic math skills.
• Excellent office etiquette.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of insurance plans.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Check in surgery patients for same day surgery.
• Prepare charts for next day surgery patients.
