Job summary

Movement in Chicago is seeking Front Desk team members to be the face of the gym, guiding members into our climbing, yoga, and fitness community with exceptional service. You’ll welcome guests, conduct tours, promote memberships, and help with retail, belay checks, and class instruction.

Ideal candidates show positivity, adaptability, and strong communication, with a passion for climbing and fitness. This role offers part-time hours, with evening and weekend availability and staff discounts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to members and guests.
• Be a guide: provide a welcoming, approachable, knowledgeable presence in interactions.
• Get to know members and guests, invite them into the community, and guide them to products and programs.
• Bring psych and be a champion of the gym, speaking about amenities, member benefits and perks.
• Welcome all members and guests, building genuine connections.
• Conduct gym tours and personalized guided experiences.
• Educate members about memberships and current promotions.
• Check people in and conduct transactions.
• Assist members with retail products and sales.
• Deliver belay checks, conduct floor walks, monitor the gym, address concerns or unsafe behavior.
• Perform facility upkeep, projects and cleaning tasks.
• Instruct introductory classes.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset through learning, coaching, and curiosity.
• Manage member and guest concerns and scenarios professionally.
