Job summary

Movement in Portland, OR is seeking friendly Front Desk team members for a part-time role. You will be the face of the gym, greeting guests, guiding them to products and programs, and supporting a welcoming community focused on climbing, yoga, and fitness.

Responsibilities include check-ins, guided tours, selling memberships and promotions, and leading introductory classes. Evening and weekend availability is expected in a dynamic, member-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to members and guests.
• Provide a welcoming, knowledgeable presence in interactions and guide members into the community.
• Conduct gym tours and guided experiences; educate about memberships and promotions.
• Check-in, process transactions, and assist with retail products.
• Deliver belay checks, floor walks, and monitor gym safety.
• Perform facility upkeep, cleaning tasks, and assist with introductory classes.

JOB SUMMARY

Front Desk team members are the face of Movement! They are the first point of contact and essentialto creating exceptional member and guestexperiences. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver exceptional service to members and guests
• Be a guide:
  • Provide a welcoming, approachable, knowledgeable presence in all interactions
  • Get to know members and guests, invite them into the community, and proactively guide them to products and programs that will help them achieve their goals
  • Bring psych and be a champion of the gym, speaking knowledgably about amenities, features, member benefits and perks, the community, and programs that make Movement special
• Execute front desk role functions, including (but not limited to)
  • Welcome all members and guests, building genuine connections
  • Conduct gym tours and personalized guided experiences
  • Educate members and guests about all products including membership and current promotions
  • Check people in and conduct transactions
  • Assist members and guests with retail products and sales
  • Deliver belay checks, conduct floor walks, monitor the gym, and address concerns or unsafe behavior
  • Perform facility upkeep, projects and cleaning tasks
  • Instruct introductory classes
• Demonstratea growth mindset through a willingness to learn, be coached, provide constructive feedback, and engage with a sense of curiosity
• Manage member and guest concerns and scenarios effectively, with professionalism

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• This is a part-time position
• Starting pay at $18.25 - $19.63, based on experience

• New hires will complete a screening process
• Scheduled shift times may vary from week to week or month to month
