Qualifications

• Education/Experience: 8th grade education.
• Preferred: experience as waiter, waitress, dining room attendant, or food service worker.
• Must possess clean personal health and sanitation habits.

Responsibilities

• Participates in preparation and setup of trays for food distribution.
• Sets up for meal service, takes food orders, serves residents and cleans dining rooms.
• Operates dishwashing machine and related equipment.
• Assists with passing trays, collecting trays and cleaning tables and chairs.
• Stocks all work areas and unit kitchenettes.
• Cleans all dining and kitchen floor areas.
• May assist in cooking or food preparation as directed by cook or dietary management team.
• Trains new employees.
• Performs extra cleaning assignments as directed by shift leaders or dietary management team.
• May participate in procedures for receiving, documenting, and tray preparation relating to both regular and special diets.
