Job summary

The Biltmore Company is seeking a Food Runner for the Library Lounge on the Biltmore Estate. This part-time role supports servers, hosts, supervisors and bartenders, with responsibilities including delivering food, stocking condiments, and maintaining dining areas. Flex: approx.

20-29 hours/week; schedules typically 11am-7pm, 1pm-9pm, or 2pm-10pm with weekend and holiday availability required. Prior guest service experience is preferred and teamwork is essential for high-quality guest

Qualifications

• Previous guest/customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a dynamic, guest-service oriented team.
• Outstanding attention to detail and speed/accuracy in job functions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver correct food items promptly and accurately to guests.
• Offer appropriate condiments table side with courses.
• Anticipate guests' needs and maintain positive guest relations.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
• Communicate guest requests to servers, kitchen staff, or bartender.
• Know table numbers, section assignments and dress code.
• Follow all service/kitchen procedures and safety regulations.
• Be familiar with Biltmore services and events to respond to inquiries.
• Observe liquor regulations and restrictions, including age checks.
