Job summary

The Morris Proper, part of Chelsea Hospitality Group, is a full-service restaurant and bar in Morristown dedicated to locally sourced New Jersey ingredients and warm hospitality.

Chelsea Hospitality Group oversees a family of brands and aims to spark connections through dining and experiences. We are seeking a part-time team member to join our service team and contribute to memorable guest experiences at The Morris Proper.

Qualifications

• Eagerness to continue learning and growing.
• Strong hospitality mindset with great attention to detail.
• Experience in a guest-facing hospitality role preferred, but not necessary.
• Collaborative and adaptable attitude, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and lift objects up to 30 pounds.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and professionalism.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering excellent guest experiences.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
• Sunday and Monday Availability - this is a part time role

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages accurately to the correct table and seat, announcing each item to guests.
• Run drinks from the service bar promptly to keep beverage timing aligned with courses.
• Know the menu, cocktail program, ingredients, and common allergens well enough to answer guest questions.
• Communicate with Expo, Bartenders, Captains, and Servers on timing, modifications, and special requests.
• Mark tables with proper silverware, glassware, and condiments before each course.
• Clear plates and glassware between courses and support table resets.
• Maintain a clean, organized pass and service bar area; complete opening, running, and closing sidework.
• Follow all alcohol service laws and house policies.
• Stay Guest-Focused: respond to guest feedback and enhance guest experience.
• Partner with the Restaurant: align with front-of-house and kitchen on goals.
• Foster Relationships: build relationships with Chelsea Hospitality Group leaders.

What You’ll Do:
