Job summary

Global Medical Response in Arizona is hiring a part-time Flight Paramedic to join our air transport team, transporting patients to and from facilities and responding to scene calls with high safety and quality care aboard a medical aircraft.

The role requires a licensed Paramedic with 3+ years in 911/critical care, current EMT-P in states served, and required certifications. Starting hourly pay range and a $2,500 annual area stipend, plus crew housing are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a 911 or critical care setting as a licensed Paramedic.
• Current EMT-P license in states served by the assigned area.
• Required BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma cert prior to flight status.
• FP-C required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certs in BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred.
• NREMT-P may be required in the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from first contact to handoff.
• Maintain competency via ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Document licensure, certifications and continuing education in required manuals.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and supplies used by EMS programs.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and the public.
• Function as a medical flight member and participate in briefings/debriefings.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot duties when needed.
• Adhere to safety standards before liftoff and conduct aircraft safety briefings.
• Fill open or vacant shifts as directed by the Regional Director.
