Job summary

Country Club of Landfall is seeking a part-time Fitness Center Desk Attendant in Wilmington, NC. The role involves welcoming members, checking in guests, handling bookings, and assisting with class reservations and front-desk needs.

You will manage memberships in MindBody, process payments, and help maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby. The position requires friendly communication, reliability, and a willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using computers, scheduling software, and payment processing systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle member inquiries with professionalism.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Prior gym experience preferred or a basic knowledge base of the fitness realm.
• Ability to lift at least 40lbs.
• Red Cross CPR/AED/FirstAid certified or willing to get certified within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members and guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Assist members with check-ins, bookings for group exercise classes, and general inquiries.
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails regarding reservations, schedules, and Sports Center services.
• Assist with cleaning, organizing, and stocking the front desk area, lobby, workout rooms, locker rooms, and gym. This includes washing, drying, and folding gym towels, refilling water bottles at the water stations, refilling sanitizing wipes, etc.
• Process payments for services, manage memberships in MindBody, and track attendance.
• Coordinate and assist with instructors, trainers, and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle member concerns and escalated issues when necessary.
• Provide information on club programs, classes, and special events.
• Assist with gym cleanliness
• Assist with check-in for the pool during season (May-September)
