Job summary

George Mason University is seeking a part-time Fiscal Specialist in Fairfax, VA to support the financial operations of Continuing and Professional Education (CPE).

You will reconcile daily revenue across Banner, TouchNet and Destiny, process invoices and payments, and produce basic financial reports with accuracy.

This on-site role requires strong MS Excel skills, independent work habits, and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a busy office environment.

Responsibilities

• Reconciles revenue across Banner, TouchNet and Destiny daily.
• Submits invoices to external entities per policy.
• Processes revenue payments (checks, cards, wire transfers) and refunds.
• Keeps revenue records with AP, Provost, Registrar offices.
• Prepares P&L-style financial reports of revenue and expenditures.
• Handles purchase requisitions, payment requests, and JVs.
• Supports Mason Finance Gateway transactions and ePAFs.
• Participates in special projects as assigned.
