Job summary

The City of Edmond is seeking a part-time Finance Staff member to join the Finance Department in Edmond, Oklahoma. Primary duties include Accounts Payable, data entry, reconciliation, journal entries, and related tasks with a maximum of 30 hours per week.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree (or equivalent), 12–18 months of related experience, and a valid Oklahoma driver’s license. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a city environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or a related field.
• 12 to 18 months of relevant experience and/or training.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to City insurance.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into city software.
• Review data entries, check accuracy, and troubleshoot data issues.
• Prepare, create, and maintain data for entry for multiple areas of Finance.
• Analyze data, self-check, review data entries, and reconcile to supporting documentation.
• Assist with research and creating and printing reports as directed.
• Assist with testing and implementing software.
