Job summary

Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance department in Oklahoma City. You will manage daily cash receipts, prepare deposits, and support month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent creativity, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access) and desk-top publishing software as well as above average math and accounting skills required.

Responsibilities

• Enter daily cash receipts into the cash receipts database and assemble receipt batches.
• Process manual credit card payment transactions online.
• Prepare daily bank deposits and transmit daily electronic check deposits.
• Prepare and file monthly tax returns and related journal entries.
• Originate monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
