Job summary

Texas State University seeks to build a pool of Field Supervisors for the Office of Educator Preparation. Field Supervisors mentor and evaluate candidates through observations, feedback, and collaboration with school partners.

Position is part-time, semester-based, with compensation per candidate assignment and travel reimbursement. Preference for experienced educators with Texas teaching credentials and leadership credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Active, valid Texas Teaching Certificate and/or a current certificate appropriate for a principal assignment.
• If not certified, must hold at least a Master’s degree in the related field and maintain continuing education requirements.
• Minimum of three years of creditable teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and evaluate clinical teaching, residency, and internship candidates.
• Conduct orientations, seminars, or coaching sessions and provide ongoing feedback.
• Meet timelines, document progress in the university system, and collaborate with school partners.
