Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers to support the MEPS study, a national survey of health care costs and usage sponsored by AHRQ.

Field Interviewers conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households drawn from a representative sample. This is a part-time, annual program with two data collection periods; training begins January 2027, with travel to local and occasional overnight assignments.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with the ability to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Availability for mandatory web-based home study training between Jan 4–15, 2027.
• Willingness to travel for mandatory in-person training in Jan 2027.
• Available for additional training activities following in-person training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with adults in households using computer-assisted methods.
• Set appointments, gain cooperation, and collect interview data and signed documents.
• Transmit data daily and adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
