Job summary

WSP is seeking a Part-Time Experienced Archaeologist with 3–5+ years of field experience for projects in Arizona and New Mexico. You will work with the Earth & Environment Cultural Resource Team and contribute to digital data collection and reporting.

Successful candidates will travel to project sites with per diem provided and join a growing organization addressing client cultural resource challenges. Great Basin and SW experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional archaeological experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA and state laws.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Class I–III assessments and provide avoidance recommendations.
• Contribute to heritage/cultural resource investigations in support of clients' projects.
• Travel to project sites in Arizona and New Mexico; per diem provided.
• Support collection and preparation of digital data for reporting findings.
• Work with environmental and heritage/cultural resources specialists across the West.
