Position Overview

Part‑time faculty assignments in Computer Science at Portland Community College. Candidates will be added to an interest pool and may be selected for adjunct or substitute teaching duties as courses are needed during the academic year.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned within the PCC College curriculum.
• Prepare lectures, labs, and assessments and maintain student records.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Science, or a related field.
• For game‑development courses: Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of professional experience in computer game development.
• Official transcripts must be submitted within two weeks of offer.
• Academic credentials from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent foreign institution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Recent industry or teaching experience in the field.

Part‑time faculty may be eligible for Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans. Pay is based on the current step 1 schedule, with rates varying by course type (lecture, lab, or lecture/lab).
