Gordon State College invites applications for part-time faculty to teach courses in Communications, Spanish Language, and Theatre. Faculty will deliver high-quality instruction, develop and align curricula, and provide student support, feedback, and mentoring.
Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in a humanities area and at least two years of higher education teaching experience. Doctorate is preferred, with potential online teaching duties and non-benefited status.
Founded in 1852, GSC is a member of the University System of Georgia. The college has a distinctive legacy of excellent scholarship and service. GSC offers nearly 30 degrees, which includes multiple associate and baccalaureate pathways for students. With an enrollment of over 3,100 students, GSC offers an intimate academic setting with state‑of‑the‑art classrooms and laboratories. In this setting, students receive individualized attention that only a small college with dedicated faculty and staff can provide.
Gordon State College is recruiting for part‑time faculty to teach courses in various disciplines including:
Master's degree or higher in an appropriate Humanities area (Communication, Spanish Language, or Theatre) with 18 or more semester credit hours in that discipline.
Two (2) years teaching experience in higher education.
Doctorate degree in an appropriate Humanities area (Communication, Spanish Language, or Theatre).
Three (3) – Five (5) years of teaching at the college level, preferably in an online environment.
