Job summary

The Young Men's Christian Association of Metropolitan Milwaukee, Inc. is seeking a Building Supervisor to monitor the facility, ensure safety, and serve as a first responder to emergencies.

The role reports to the Member Engagement Director and collaborates with center leadership to uphold YMCA policies. Responsibilities include daily safety checks, coordination with leadership, and delivering prompt service to members and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in active listening, critical thinking, social perceptiveness, judgment, independent decision-making, and customer service.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• First Responder certification may be required within 60 days, including CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, O2, and First Aid.
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflict professionally.
• Ability to direct and coordinate emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Center Leadership and staff to ensure excellence and consistency in security and prompt service through daily care of members, program participants, and volunteers.
• Diligently monitor the facility for safety and service interventions, serving as first responder.
• Maintain and evaluate safety protocol, communicating with the Member Engagement Director regarding systematic approaches for continual improvement.
• Strictly adhere to all Center policies and procedures, with particular attention to safety and professional conduct.
