Job summary

Shp Management Corp is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facilities maintenance under supervision in Chicago, IL. The role covers general upkeep, preventive maintenance, and coordination of work orders across multiple locations.

The successful candidate will have 3 years in property maintenance, a High School diploma, and a ability to learn plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and related trades. On-call duties and safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in all facets of property maintenance.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, maintenance, grounds maintenance, roofing, flooring, etc. or the ability to learn this skill.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in a timely basis.
• Prepare apartment turnovers within established guidelines.
• Clean community buildings, laundry rooms, offices, maintenance shop and grounds.
• Daily collection of debris on the property.
• Coordinate with Superintendent/Property Manager for inspections and repair follow-ups.
• Be available for on-call emergencies (snow removal, fires, etc.).
• Complete incident reports within 24 hours of occurrence.
