Job summary

Teton Properties is seeking a Part-Time Apartment Maintenance Technician in Chicago to help maintain safe, attractive residential spaces. This in-person role pays $30–$35 per hour plus mileage and involves routine inspections, repairs, and preventive tasks to ensure a high-quality living environment.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, drywall, and carpentry work, plus documentation of maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Apartment maintenance experience and strong mechanical knowledge.
• Practical electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, drywall, and carpentry skills.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, schematics, and electrical testing devices.
• Familiarity with Maintenance, Repair, and Operations procedures.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, customer service, and English communication skills.
• Leadership qualities are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose issues and complete repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics.
• Complete painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and other building-interior maintenance work.
• Repair electrical wiring, outlets, switches, plumbing leaks, fixtures, and HVAC components.
• Follow applicable safety protocols, codes, and standards.
• Communicate clearly with residents and maintain detailed maintenance, repair, and inventory records.
