Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a Maintenance Technician for Assumption Seminary to perform general maintenance and basic repairs at multiple locations. This part-time role (20–25 hours/week) emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to established procedures.

The technician will inspect facilities, handle plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical tasks, and respond to after-hours calls as needed. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of general maintenance tools.
• Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
• Must have good written and verbal skills.
• Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all buildings and facilities and initiate repairs.
• Perform maintenance in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and others; notify management for complex issues.
• Complete work orders and process them.
• Responds to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
• Work cooperatively with staff to schedule and complete repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and operate tools safely.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Move furniture and office equipment as requested.
• Maintain inventory of materials, parts, supplies, tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
