Job summary

Archdiocese of San Antonio Careers is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds and equipment at multiple facilities. Responsibilities include minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting, plus some janitorial duties as needed.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required and valid Texas driver's license is preferred. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and about two years of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience in building and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to communicate with various levels of staff and bilingual in English/Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Completes all maintenance work assigned and responds to after hours emergencies.
• Perform repairs or general maintenance including minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting tasks.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using manuals and catalogs.
• Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to testing devices.
• Move and assist in transporting furniture and deliveries to facilities/sites.
• Maintain building security including alarms, openings/closings, and after-hours responses.
