Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio seeks a Maintenance Technician for the Pastoral Ministry Center to perform general maintenance and basic repairs in a safe, professional manner. Work is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor duties and travel within the Archdiocese for maintenance needs.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, completing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and landscape tasks, coordinating contractors, and responding to after-hours emergencies while delivering

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience in building maintenance or construction related work.
• Must have knowledge of basic plumbing, HVAC, masonry, painting, and electrical work.
• Must have working knowledge of general maintenance tools.
• Must have knowledge of safe work practices (OSHA standards).
• Must have knowledge of electrical wiring and repairs.
• Experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all buildings and facilities, identify deficiencies and initiate repairs.
• Complete repairs or general maintenance at assigned sites, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, finishes, and masonry.
• Assist other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Move furniture, boxes, equipment, or other heavy materials.
• Travel off campus to properties within the Archdiocese of San Antonio for maintenance related needs.
• Complete all assigned work orders independently in a timely, efficient, and satisfactory manner.
• Oversee contractors who work on mechanical equipment.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Maintain security of campus buildings, doors, and windows; handle after-hours alarm calls.
