Job summary

State Center Community College District invites applications for an Aviation Maintenance Technology Instructor pool at Reedley College. This part-time role involves teaching FAA-approved aircraft maintenance courses in various instructional settings, including evenings and weekends, online, or off-campus as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold an FAA A&P license with AIA, meet minimum qualification requirements, and demonstrate commitment to serving a diverse student body in a community college

Qualifications

• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license with Aircraft Inspection Authorization (A&P license + AIA).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent education/experience.
• Two years of directly related aviation maintenance experience or six years with associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Teach FAA FAR Part 147 curriculum and FAA Airframe/Powerplant courses.
• Use varied teaching methods and technology for in-person/online/hybrid formats.
• Maintain student assessment records and provide timely grading/evaluations.
• Provide course syllabi and align with curriculum outlines of record.
• Engage diverse student populations and promote equity-minded practice.
