Job summary

Reedley College is seeking a Flight Science Instructor for its part‑time faculty pool. The role involves teaching both lecture and lab courses in Flight Science, including Private Pilot Ground School and related labs, at Fresno Air Terminal.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of closely related experience.
Associate degree and six years of closely related experience.
Valid California Community College credential.
Equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).
Evidence of responsiveness to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, and an equity‑minded practice within the classroom.

Responsibilities

Teach lecture‑based flight science classes.
Teach lab‑based flight science classes at Fresno Air Terminal.
Teach additional courses such as Private Pilot Ground School, Private Pilot Labs, Aviation History, and more.
Use diverse pedagogies and technology for face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats.
Communicate effectively with students and assess progress per course objectives.
Provide course syllabi and maintain records per District Policy.
Submit grading and evaluation reports timely.
