Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a Part-time Front Desk/Technician Support associate for our Boynton Beach store. You will greet patients, verify insurance, manage check-in, and support doctors and the Office Manager to maintain smooth patient flow.

The role requires strong customer service, solid communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; prior experience in optical retail or healthcare helps.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in retail, customer service, optical retail store, or related experience.
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge
• Strong communication skills to work with a diverse client group
• Enjoys working as part of a team to support legendary patient care
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn, support change management, and assimilate new information quickly
• Ability to use independent judgment/discretion for problem-solving and discern when an escalation is necessary to the Office Manager

Responsibilities

• Front Desk: Verify insurance prior to doctor encounter and ensure proper scanning.
• Greet patients professionally and provide exceptional customer service for a positive experience.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Explain exam pricing and process when asked.
• Check-in and pretest patients efficiently and accurately.
• Collect necessary information from patients from a front desk/technician perspective.
• Serve as a center of excellence for staff with focus on customer care.
• Handle tasks like adjusting or fitting eyewear carefully and correctly.
• Collect copays and process payments per SOPs.
• dispense eyewear and contacts accurately.
• Order contacts as needed.
