Job summary

VSP Vision is hiring a part-time Optical Outlet associate in Florida to assist patients and support the Doctor and Office Manager. The role emphasizes outstanding patient service, eyewear fitting, and merchandise guidance.

You will greet customers, explain processes, handle transactions, and help choose frames and lenses that fit lifestyle and budget. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
• Ability to assess customer needs.
• Preferred: Florida Optician license and bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with merchandise selection, fitting frames, and dispensing eyewear.
• Greet customers and explain the process in a transparent way.
• Assist patients and support the Doctor and Office Manager.
• Handle transactions at time of purchase.
• Inform Office Manager of any office problems noted by staff, doctors, or patients.
• Take and record measurements, adjust or fit eyewear accurately.
