Event Staff work alongside our Operations Team to provide an exceptional guest experience during events at the Hall of Fame Village, a 100-acre sports and entertainment destination in Canton, Ohio.

This position is as-needed, seasonal, part-time, and an essential part of our Operations team. Responsibilities include ticket scanning, concessions, ushering, parking assistance, guest services, and more at various events including concerts, sports games, enshrinement, seasonal events, weddings, etc. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to assist with any task.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior guest service to visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff.
  • Assist in setting up and tearing down event spaces by moving tables, chairs, or other furniture.
  • Perform ticket scanning at event gates.
  • Ushers and parking attendants.
  • Concessions and merchandise assisting.
  • Guest services support.
  • Operate elevators and provide directions.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Position Type: Hourly, seasonal, as-needed, non-exempt.

Requirements:

  • Must be flexible, reliable, and a team player.
  • Experience in events, operations, or hospitality preferred.
  • Positive attitude and friendly demeanor, as interaction with the public is essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and task prioritization skills.
  • Discretion and judgment regarding confidential matters.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Work in various weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
  • Navigate uneven terrain, steps, and construction zones safely.
  • Respond to hazardous situations appropriately.
  • Must be able to hear, see, speak, and make eye contact.
  • Manual dexterity to perform job duties.
  • Stand, sit, squat, and walk for extended periods as required.
  • Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.
