Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services in Reno, NV is seeking a Part-time Event Security Guard to support major conventions, trade shows and live events. You will conduct bag searches, enforce access control and ensure guest safety while delivering courteous service.

This role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, paid orientation and opportunities to work high-profile events. Candidates must be 18+, have a HS diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass background checks and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent or five years of work experience.
• Nevada PILB Security Guard Registration required upon hire.
• Background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test may be required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Control entry, verify tickets or wristbands, and direct venue traffic.
• Screen guests via bag searches, hand wand or metal detector and ID verification.
• Protect guests and assets by monitoring for security breaches at key points.
• Respond to crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when necessary.
• Follow venue policies, procedures and regulations for each event.
