Job summary

Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) is seeking Security Staff to help create a safe and positive atmosphere at large Duluth events. You will uphold the DECC’s policies under the guidance of the Safety and Security Manager.

The role requires standing for long periods, patrolling various areas of the facility, and providing excellent customer service. This is a part-time, event-driven position with flexible day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events.
• Ability to resolve problems and manage difficult situations as needed.
• Ability to move quickly throughout the complex when an event(s) is located in multiple areas.
• Provide excellent customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Deescalate tense situations that may arise.
• Patrol arenas, parking ramps, and skywalk.
• Adopt and maintain the DECC’s safety culture and policies.
• Clearly communicate with other departments.
• Additional duties as assigned.
