Job summary

DECC, the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, seeks a part-time Building Maintenance worker to support event operations. Responsibilities include grounds care, repairs, and general labor to ensure venues run smoothly during events.

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, work in varying conditions, and operate basic tools. Forklift experience and a valid Class C license are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• Requires forklift experience and a valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Demonstrates strong customer service and safety awareness.
• Able to work independently or in a team with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up event areas per sheets to avoid conflicts with events.
• Maintain lawn and grounds including mowing and planting.
• Repair parking lot edges with asphalt or concrete.
• Perform snow removal and salting for walkways and lots.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces and repair building elements.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and perform routine servicing.
• Operate forklift during event move-ins and load-outs.
