Job summary

Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) in Duluth, MN is seeking a part-time Expo Services team member. You will set up event spaces, take down and reset spaces, and service events including expos, conventions, sports and entertainment.

The role requires quick response to requests, ability to follow detailed instructions, teamwork and customer service, with physical duties including lifting up to 100 pounds and hours based on DECC event needs.

Responsibilities

• Review detailed event sheets and follow procedures to ensure event areas are set up precisely, to the highest standards, as well as meeting the client’s expectations.
• Prepare, set up, and remove tables, chairs, and pipes and drapes for conventions, banquets, trade shows, meetings, and other events scheduled at the DECC.
• Assist DECC clients in the set-up of their events and provide courteous help and/or directions to guests, and vendors as needed.
• Respond quickly to requests for additional and unexpected room set ups and tasks as needed.
• Assist with facility cleaning and other related duties as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
