Job summary

City of Augusta is hiring Event Security Staff for the Augusta Civic Center to safeguard people and property during events. The role requires evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules, with non-exempt, part-time status.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 5+ years of customer service and supervisory experience, CPR/AED training, and Crowd Manager Certification within 30 days. TIPs or Alcohol Server Certification is also required or obtainable after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience and prior supervisory experience are required.
• Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
• Crowd Manager Certification is required within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Candidates must also possess, or be willing to obtain after hire, TIPs or similar Alcohol Server Certification.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard staff, clients, customers, and property during events at the Augusta Civic Center.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, staff and visitors; provide clear direction and calm handling of security concerns.
• Respond to security incidents and assist with emergency procedures as needed.
• Coordinate with ACC staff and emergency services to maintain a secure environment and safe event operations.
