Job summary

The City of Augusta is hiring Event Security Staff to safeguard staff, clients, customers, and property during events at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, Maine. You will be a main contact for attendees and staff, ensuring a secure, welcoming environment and coordinating with emergency services when needed.

Responsibilities include responding to safety concerns, assisting with emergencies, and maintaining professional conduct in a fast-paced event setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience and supervisory experience.
• CPR and AED training should be obtained or willing to obtain.
• Crowd Manager Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• TIPs or similar Alcohol Server Certification required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key contact for clients, staff, and visitors.
• Help maintain a secure environment and respond to safety concerns.
• Coordinate with ACC staff and emergency services when needed.
• Assist with emergency procedures during events to ensure safety.
