Allied Universal is hiring for part-time Event Security in Berkeley, CA. Starting pay is $24 per hour, with weekly pay and a CA guard card required.

The role involves checking bags, enforcing access control, and ensuring guest safety while delivering excellent customer service at college sporting events. The position may require screening guests, directing traffic, and maintaining security across venue entrances.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Independent judgment and discretion expected.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Direct venue entry and assist with ticket verification and crowd flow.
• Screen guests during entry using bag searches, wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring security at checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to potential crowd issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Adhere to policies and procedures of various venues and events.
• Provide friendly directions and assistance to enhance guests' experience.
