Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services in Berkeley, CA is hiring part-time Event Staff to support college sports events. You will check bags, control access, verify IDs and wristbands, and help guests have a safe, enjoyable experience.

This position offers weekly pay, starting at $20.00 per hour, with flexible under-30-hour schedules. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and successfully complete a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and post-offer drug/alcohol test required.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Allow appropriate entry into each venue, verify tickets, wristbands and badges, direct traffic.
• Screen guests during entry via bag searching, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff, and assets by watching for security breaches at checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Follow policies and regulations of different venues and events.
• Provide a positive experience for guests at facility entrances and concourses.
• Offer directions and suggestions to enhance guests' entertainment experience.
