Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services in New Orleans is seeking part-time Event Security to safeguard guests at sports arenas, concerts, festivals, and conventions. You will check bags, enforce access control and deliver superior customer service.

Starting rate is $15.50 per hour with weekly pay, flexible scheduling under 30 hours per week, and opportunities for training and career growth. Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test may be required.
• Ability to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in event day preparation and execution.
• Check bags and verify entry while enforcing access control.
• Direct traffic and verify wristbands or badges at venues.
• Screen guests at entry using bag searches, hand wand, or metal detector; verify IDs.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring for security breaches at checkpoints.
• Respond to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when needed.
• Provide directions and information to enhance guests' experience.
