Job summary

West Valley City Corporation is seeking an Event Staff member to help set up and tear down event spaces at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. A flexible schedule is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with part-time hours and starting pay of $16.00 per hour.

You will support event operations, assist clients, and ensure spaces are clean, safe, and arranged per client specifications. Training and growth opportunities are provided in a collaborative, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous event setup or hospitality experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of event equipment and cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Set up event spaces with tables, chairs, linens, stages, and AV equipment per client specs.
• Assist with pre-event preparation and custodial tasks to keep venue clean and organized.
• Monitor spaces to maintain cleanliness, safety, and standards during events.
• Assist with teardown and reset of rooms for subsequent events.
• Operate POS for concessions, merchandise, and ticketing when needed.
