Job summary

CDE Lightband, the municipal electric and broadband power provider for Clarksville, seeks an Operations Dispatcher for part-time, rotating shifts with after-hours coverage. You will handle calls, reconnect services, assign work orders, and communicate between crews and the dispatch center.

The role supports emergency responses, maintains records, and coordinates with field teams. Evening, weekend, and holiday coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a clerical or customer service role is expected.
• Knowledgeable in Customer Service practices and principles.
• Knowledgeable of City Geography.
• Skilled in Prioritizing and Assigning Work.
• Skilled in coordinating operational activities and processing work orders.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, written and spoken.
• CPR/AED or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives and routes service calls; coordinates, prioritizes, and assigns service orders; communicates information between work crews and the dispatch center; determines emergency priorities and dispatches units as necessary.
• Monitor & Administer Surveillance Systems; respond to alarms as trained while maintaining system security and reliability.
• Monitors SCADA system; monitors and administers outage management systems.
• Dispatches units to specific calls using a radio console; tracks calls and notifies relevant personnel.
• Maintains operational records and logs.
• Performs other duties as assigned of a similar nature or to assist as needed.
