Job summary

Shrewsbury Public Schools is seeking a Security Monitor at Shrewsbury High School. The role is on-site, 2:30pm–5:00pm, Thursday and Friday during the school year, with a five-hour weekly schedule and hourly pay between $17.39 and $19.13 depending on experience.

Responsibilities include supervising students, guiding building egress, conducting end-of-shift walkthroughs, coordinating with administration and facilities, and ensuring the safety and security of the building within school policies.

Qualifications

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Must be able to work on site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students in the SHS Commons and hallways with reporting any behavioral issues to building administration
• Facilitate exit of students out of the building at 4:30pm
• Complete a building walkthrough at the end of every shift to ensure all students are out of the building
• Routinely review the schedule of after school events at the High School
• Account for and direct visitors according to school guidelines and policies
• Monitor building use and ensure adherence to school guidelines and policies and report any building issues to building administration and/or facilities
• Ensure overall safety and security of the building
