Job summary

Henry County Schools is seeking a Campus Safety Monitor to uphold school security during operating hours and school events. You will support administrators by monitoring campus areas, supervising students during transitions, and ensuring doors and restrooms are secure as required.

The role requires late-night and weekend availability, integrity, and adherence to ethics standards. Training and collaboration with the District Safety and Security Director are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HSE required.
• Ability to work late nights and some weekends.
• Integrity, confidentiality, and strong professional reputation.
• Adherence to the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
• Regular, predictable, and reliable presence at work.
• Must be able to be present at the worksite.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to supervise students during emergencies.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing review of physical security at the assigned school.
• Assist administrators with campus monitoring.
• Supervise students during hallway transitions.
• Alert administrators to safety concerns throughout the day.
• Conduct security assessments and suggest improvements.
• Monitor indoor and outdoor school areas.
• Ensure exterior doors are secure during the day.
• Monitor restrooms per guidelines.
• Attend trainings by District Safety and Security Director.
• Demonstrate positive working relationships with students and staff.
• Assist with car and bus traffic management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
