Job summary

ReNEW Schools in Merrillville, IN is seeking a school-year Security Monitor to help maintain a safe educational environment. The role is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, with start and end times set by the Director of Security.

The wage range is $17.50 to $20.25 per hour. Candidates should have prior supervision or security experience in an educational setting and be able to walk the building, supervise students, and uphold all school policies.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to establish relationships with students, staff and community.
• Must walk the building, supervise students, provide security, and maintain safety.
• Follow school and Board policies; demonstrate responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Walk and monitor school halls, cafeteria, washrooms, parking lots, and grounds.
• Work with the Corporation Director of Security and district staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by building administration.
