Job summary

Volunteers of America Southeast, Inc is seeking a Facility/Community Support Services Technician (CSST) for The Millennium Center in Cuthbert, GA. This part-time position monitors the campus during non-clinical hours to support families and ensure safety.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, a valid GA driver's license, and effective communication. Security or social service experience is preferred; sobriety requirements apply if in recovery. CPR/First Aid certification is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Security or social service experience preferred.
• If in recovery, must have a minimum of two years sobriety.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid GA driver's license.
• Computer literacy helpful for entering shift notes and documenting incidents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks on all individuals receiving services and their children.
• Monitor campus grounds and facilities; willing to go into the community at least every two hours.
• Assist residents, guests and officials with accessing necessary information during visits.
• Answer phone and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members.
• Assist with monitoring contraband entering campus via persons served or guests through routine searches of packages and vehicles.
• Maintain communication with Program Manager and other staff to ensure campus safety.
• Contact law enforcement when necessary to secure or deter disruptive behavior.
• Document accurately and timely according to agency policies, including shift reports.
• Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certificate.
• Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
