Job summary

Northwell Health in Danbury, CT seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Delivery Room on a part-time basis. The position requires CT RN licensure, BLS, and prior Labor & Delivery exposure, with 7on-7off style evening/night coverage and 24-hour weekly commitment.

ACLS/NRP/EFM certifications are expected within specified timelines. Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, implementing care, prioritization, and interdisciplinary coordination to ensure high-quality patient outcomes in

Qualifications

• CT RN license is required; BLS certification required.
• Minimum 6 months of L&D experience.
• ACLS and NRP certifications required or must be obtained within 6 months.
• EFM certifications required or must be obtained within 12 months.
• Part-Time role with Evening/Night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing assessments of physiologic, psychologic and cognitive status.
• Forms a goal-directed care plan and prioritizes patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a skilled, consistent and continuous manner.
• Sets priorities based on patient needs and resources.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and tracks patient progress toward outcomes.
• Identifies learning needs of patient and significant others.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary functions and ensures compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
